Beyond Moving – Service Agreement

Please review the following terms carefully. By proceeding with your booking, you agree to the conditions outlined below.

1) Packages & Rates (Local Moves)

2 Movers + Truck: $420 (covers up to 3 hours). Additional time: $140/hr.
3 Movers + Truck: $555 (covers up to 3 hours). Additional time: $175/hr.
3-hour minimum applies to all local moves. Time is rounded to the nearest 15 minutes after that.
GST (5%) applies to all services.

2) Travel & Out-of-Town Moves

Out-of-town moves are billed at the hourly rate plus $1.25/km (round trip from Lethbridge).
Drive time between addresses during the move is billable.

3) Small Deliveries & Heavy Items

Small deliveries and single-item moves typically range from $145–$225.
Heavy items (pianos, safes, large appliances) carry a $100 flat surcharge or are quoted case-by-case if stairs or special equipment are required.

4) Packing Services

Optional packing services: $55/hour per packer (plus materials if supplied by Beyond Moving).
Customers may provide their own boxes and packing materials.

5) Deposits, Rescheduling & Cancellations

A 15% deposit is required to secure your date (credited to the final invoice).
Moves rescheduled or canceled with 48+ hours’ notice may transfer or refund the deposit.
Moves canceled within 48 hours of the start time forfeit the deposit.

6) Timekeeping & Payment

Time starts at crew arrival and stops once unloading is complete and the truck is closed.
Waiting time due to keys, elevators, or client delays is billable at the hourly rate.
Payment is due upon job completion via e-transfer, major card, or cash.
Late payments may incur a 2% monthly interest charge.

7) Access, Parking & Preparation

Customers must ensure driveways, stairs, and walkways are clear and safe.
Elevator reservations, parking permits, and access arrangements are the customer’s responsibility.
Fines resulting from unavailable or illegal parking are chargeable to the client.
Disconnect appliances and electronics prior to moving day.

8) Scope of Work & Limitations

Beyond Moving provides transportation and handling of goods only. Plumbing, electrical, and wall-mounting work are excluded.
Fragile, antique, or high-value items must be declared in advance for special handling.
Pressboard and particle-board furniture are not covered under damage protection due to structural fragility.

9) Liability, Valuation & Claims

Standard liability is limited to $0.60 per pound per item.
Clients seeking full-value replacement coverage must arrange third-party insurance before moving day.
All claims must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of completion with photo documentation.

10) Delays, Weather & Force Majeure

Beyond Moving is not responsible for delays caused by traffic, weather, mechanical issues, or events beyond our control. Moves may be paused, rescheduled, or adjusted for safety reasons without penalty.

11) Overnight Truck Holds

If goods remain in the truck overnight, they are stored at the client’s risk. Overnight hold fees may apply, and access is restricted until final delivery.

12) Photos & Marketing Permission

Beyond Moving may take non-identifiable photos or short clips for internal training or marketing. Clients may opt out in writing before service.

13) Governing Law & Entire Agreement

This agreement is governed by the laws of Alberta. Any disputes will be handled in Lethbridge, Alberta. This document represents the entire understanding between the client and Beyond Moving and may only be modified in writing.
